FBI Identity History Summary Report

We are proud to be an Approved FBI Channeler with Accurate Biometrics. Our digital channeling system greatly speeds up the time it takes to fingerprint and process the report. The FBI Identity History Summary Report can be requested by US-based employers, Federal Agencies, or Foreign Governments and Institutions.

If the report is requested by a foreign government or institution, or will be used overseas in any capacity, you must obtain a hard-copy of the report on tamper-proof paper. A downloaded PDF is not acceptable for Apostille purposes.

We will provide clients with all the paperwork, and nothing need to be filled out beforehand. Our experienced, knowledgeable technicians will guide you through the paperwork and make sure you select the proper option for your report. If needed, we are also happy to handle the Apostille process for you, as all federal documents must be Apostilled in Washington, D.C.

Non-US Citizens will be printed on 2 ink roll FD-258 cards, which they will be able to mail in after completing the online application at www.FBI.gov.

What do I need to bring to my appointment?

All applicants will need to bring a valid, government-issued ID. We are unable to accept expired IDs, temporary IDs or employee IDs.

We will provide all the necessary paperwork at the time of your appointment. If you prefer, you can download & print the required paperwork here to complete before your appointment. Please make sure to bring it with you along with your ID.

How does an applicant receive his/her results?

You will receive an email from Accurate Biometrics with a link to your results within 48 hours of fingerprint capture. You can download a PDF of your results for your own records or to send to a prospective employer. Please note this link is only active for 30 days, and can only be used once. The PDF copy of your results is not acceptable for Apostilles or international usage, so you must wait for the hard copy to arrive in the mail.

Results will only be mailed to the applicant’s residential address. The only instance in which you can have results sent to someone else is to your attorney. In this case, your attorney would need to submit a request to us on their letterhead, with both your and your attorney’s signatures on the same document.

The cost of the service depends on which option you choose to receive your results. You will select the appropriate option for your needs when filling out the required paperwork.

What if I need an Apostille?

Because the FBI Identity History Summary Report is a Federal Document, it can only be Apostilled by the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. Once you have received the hard copy of your results in the mail, you can begin the Apostille process.

Additional Information

All FBI Channeling results must be sent back to a U.S. residential address. Results are prohibited from being shipped overseas.
